Camp

Well about an hour ago Irene did my hair for camp. And as for my last post before I go to camp I want to tell you a little story about my mystery bug. First here's a photo. Isn't it cute? This is a nymph of a leaf footed bug. I'm not sure what species it is though. I've seen them every where I live and at camp ( I'm going to tomorrow! ) too. Before I knew what these were I called them "boot bugs" because they look like boots. That was my nick name for them. And it's thanks to www.bugguide.net that I know what these little guys are. I knew that it was a nymph of one of the many true bugs but I didn't know which. Any way yesterday Kerry called to say good bye to me and to wish me a good time at camp. Also she told me she would call me when I come home from camp to set a date to go to the beach! YAY! So while I'm at camp I have that to look forward too. Any way good bye for now!

One More Day!

Tomorrow Irene is coming to do my hair for camp. Then the day after tomorrow I leave for camp! YAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIMI!

Today is my Mimi's birthday! So I would like to wish her a very happy b-day! For those of who don't know I like to call my mommy mimi. So I'm glad that who ever reads this now knows who I'm talking about when mimi come up in one of my post on this wonderful blog! :)

Today I also got mail from Connie! She sent me 3 GIANT FUZZZY WUZZY BALLS! YAY! :) ( 2 orange and one yellow ). And later on me and my wonderful mimi are going to engorge ourselves with cake and ice cream! ( Yes please do envy us! )

Also I'm going to continue helping my mimi with writing my name on my clothes for camp, as we only have 4 days left! ( :: Does happy dance in the middle of the living room! :: ) And I'll update this post if anything else happens during the day.

Going To Camp On July 20th! YAAAAAAAAAAY! :)

There's nothing else to say the title of this entry pretty much speaks for it self! When I come home from camp I'll post my Diary entries here along with the photos I took while I was there. Until then!

Lady Bugs!

This morning at 8:00am my mom found a Multicolored Asian Lady Bug ( Harmonia Axyridis ). These little guys are more common then you think! They come in many different colors and patterns, hence the common name and are often confused with other species of lady bugs because they're so variable. To tell if a lady bug is a Harmonia Axyridis you need to look at the "shield" covering it's thorax. If you see a black "W" marking on it then it's a Harmonia Axyridis. Pretty cool huh? Any way after a while of looking at the fella I let him go. Other then that nothing else that was interesting happened today. I also went to see Dr. Grodberg 2 days ago. ( See my other blog for details ).

Going To See Dr. Grodberg Tomorrow

Tomorrow I'm going to see Dr. Grodberg. Hopefully this time nothing happens so that my mom has to cancel the appointment like she did before, and it happened twice! My mom ( and I agree ) wants me to see him before I go to camp. I really really hope that nothing happens tomorrow, because I'm dying to see him again.

Lance And Connie Came Today!

Today Lance and Connie came to visit my mom for her birthday ( Her real birthday is on the 16th but they couldn't come that day. ) so they came today. It was a very nice visit from them. Lance's best friend José came by to pay him a visit. When I went out to get the pizza with Lance I saw 2 mosquitoes and one Moth Fly ( These are flies that mimic moths ). They were cute. Then when they left I saw a geometrid crawling on the window! It was cute! I love today!

Went out with Kerry Yesterday!

Yesterday I went out with Kerry! I had a blast! I bought 2 Selena Cd's and Mancala and 2 bags of Doritos. I got the game Mancala at Toys R Us at times square. And I got the Cd's at a record store in times square. Tomorrow my older brother and his wife are coming to visit my mom and me for her birthday ( which is on the 16th of July but they couldn't make it ) so they're coming tomorrow. Also on Monday I'm going to see Dr. Grodberg and hopefully this time nothing will happen that will make my mom cancel it.

P.S I saw a fire fly yesterday!

Going To See Kerry On Thursday!

Today Kerry called to tell me that she coming to take me out for the day on Thursday!!!! This Thursday! I can't wait to see her again! Also we still have some fruit flies buzzing around the place but not as many as before.

The Invasion Of The Flies

Today my house was invaded by flies! Fruit Flies to be exact. I was shocked this morning when my mom told me that 2-3 flies were flying around the Venus Fly Trap she bought! Gee, that was awkward! And the next thing is the fact my mom hates insects. She only fancies butterflies and lady bugs and she wouldn't kill them if the made their way into the house. But every other insect or spider that made their way into our house she kills. MUDERER! Any way I still love her even though she's just been convicted of murder! :) Any way back to the flies the invasion started last night when I found one in the bathroom. At first I thought it was nothing because we get fruit flies every time she buys fruit. But we never got this many! Next thing you know they'll be laying down giving birth to over 100 babies! ( See Picture on the side of two Fruit Flies ( Euaresta Bella ) getting nasty! )

And the next thing you'll hear is the flies talking about how they're going to take over the house: "Hee hee hee! We just invaded Brittanie's house and now we're making wonderful chaotic plans on how to take over the house! Then we're going to lay down and make babies!" Any way today was very interesting!

Insects!

This is a Ebony Jewel wing damselfly! That's what I chose for my user pic because it's so pretty! I've seen damselflies before but I've never seen one of these in person. Hopefully I'll see one when I go to camp! And then I'll take a nice picture of it and post it on my two blogs and, make every one envy me! :)
This beauty is an Ailanthus Web Worm Moth. I found one of these on the window of my balcony. At the time I didn't know what kind of moth it was. But I liked it alot and I wanted to know what species it was, so when I went back inside my apartment I did a google search for moths and I came across this photo telling me that it was an Ailanthus Web Worm Moth ( Atteva Punctella ). I don't know too much about these kind of moths. But I'm going to look up some info on them and see what I can find. In the mean time here's another one.

Went To Dr. Grodberg's Yesterday!

Yesterday I went to Dr. Groberg's. We talked about the recent things that's been happening in my ( currently at the moment ) boring life. I showed him my other blog and he read some of the entries that were clearly indicating my life has gone down some one's ass. Then he told my mom that he's going to arrange for me to see him once a week until I go to camp! I'm looking forward to that. Then my mom and I went home and I stayed out side for a bit singing Selena songs and looking for bugs. I didn't see any butterflies yet. But I did see the following:

2 leaf hopper nymphs
2 wasp
1 wasp or black carpenter bee, or a beetle. ( Not too sure on what it was though. It was flying. ) So I finally get to go outside again! I hope I can go out again really really soon!

I Got More Hermit Crabs!

Today I got more hermit crabs and they're soooooooooooooooooooo cute!

Mail!

Today I got mail! It was from a book about biology. I got a book about insects and spiders. This where my mom also gets my hermit crabs. The tutor couldn't come today because they had a meeting at the school where she works.

Eventful?

I'm not too sure if today was "eventful ". If you count getting my hair relaxed and seeing the tutor again as eventful then the day was eventful. I also found out that the tutor is coming Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday every week.

Got to see the tutor again

Today the tutor came again and we did some things on writing and math. It was easy. Other then that nothing happened today. I also sang to her again! Then my mom talked with her for a bit and then she left. She's coming again tomorrow. I'm looking forward to this too.

News

I wouldn't really call this "news" but my mom was talking to Dr. Grodberg today and she told me I would be seeing him again on the 19th. It's been over 2 months since I last saw him! I should really be seeing him once a month to see how I'm doing. I'm looking forward to talking to him. Too bad that we only have 45min sessions! How am I supposed to make up for 2 sessions? In other words how is he supposed to make up for 2 sessions? One way or another those 2 sessions better be made up. I don't care how it's done I want the time for the made up sessions. And when I see him it better be a nice long make up session for the two that I missed, or some one's going to die......
